Illusion Midori Punch Recipe

This fun and fruity Illusion Midori Punch is perfect when entertaining a crowd. It is so quick and easy to put together, which means you can spend more time partying with your guests.

Illusion Midori

Do you guys remember the Midori Illusion shakers?

I will never forget those pretty sparkling silver shakers that would hold the perfect balance of sweet and sour flavours. And the perfect alcohol-to-juice ratio.

A splash of vodka and Cointreau with an even bigger splash of Midori.  Shaken together with pineapple juice and a squeeze of lemon. Creating a greenish glowing liquid that would splash into shot glasses to share with your bestie.

Great memories, I tell ya!

I'm kinda over my shooter days, but I wanted to share with you guys a bit of my youth. So, I converted this old-school shaker into an awesome modern-day Midori Illusion Punch Recipe.

Midori Illusion Punch

It is so quick and easy to make. Tastes delicious. And it looks pretty impressive.

I have stuck with the original Midori Illusion recipe here but have made a couple of adjustments.  A little bit more juice and sparkling mineral water has been added to give it a bit of fizz.

I also added slices of cucumber, lemon and mint leaves for a refreshing lift to the punch—and sliced strawberries for sweetness and an amazing colour pop.

Midori Illusion Punch Ingredients

To create this Midori Illusion Punch, you will need your bottle of vodka, Cointreau and Midori. As far as equipment goes, you will need your JIGGER, LEMON SQUEEZER and your BAR SPOON. And a pitcher or punch bowl to serve it in. You'll also need some pineapple juice, sparkling mineral water, lemon, mint leaves, cucumber, strawberries and ice.

How To Make Midori Illusion Punch

  1. Start by measuring out all the liquid items with your jigger and then pour them into your pitcher or punch bowl. The pitcher I used for this is about 42 ounces (1.25 litres) and serves about 7-8 glasses.
  2. Next, squeeze the juice from one lemon using your lemon squeezer into the pitcher. Then, give it all a stir with your bar spoon.
  3. Then, slap your mint leaves and drop them into the pitcher. Followed by adding your slices of cucumber, lemon and strawberries. Give it all one more stir with your bar spoon, and you're done.
  4. Place ice into glasses before serving, not into the pitcher as this will water it down. I used THESE cool ice spheres to serve my punch with.

I can totally see you guys serving this up at any of your summertime affairs. I'm picturing pool parties, beach parties or any kinda party where the sun is shining, really.

This would also make the perfect punch to serve at a St Patrick's Day get-together cause of its awesome greenish glow.

And I think it could also fit in on the Christmas table, especially if you are on my side of the world where Christmas Day is hot, sweaty and crying out for something fun, fruity and refreshing.

I hope you guys try this Midori Illusion Punch out. I think you will totally dig it. And if you do, and you love it, then I suggest trying out THIS, THIS and THIS cocktail. They are just as fruity and refreshing and are perfect to make into pitcher-sized punches.

Let me know how you get on with this Midori Illusion Punch or any of my other cocktails by leaving a comment below.

Till next time, cheers guys.
