This simple spinach smoothie is refreshing, healthy and filled with peach, banana and coconut flavours. And the best thing is it doesn’t even taste green!!

Peach, Banana, Coconut and Spinach Smoothie

I’ve really been getting into drinking smoothies for breakfast lately. They’re a great way of getting in some good nutrition in the morning, but mainly because it’s such a quick and convenient breakfast. I always seem to be in a bit of a hurry in the morning, taking the dog (or dogs!) for a walk and getting ready for work sometimes means that I would just have a coffee before heading out the door. I’d have another at work and before I knew it it would almost be lunchtime and I’d be feeling flat and famished. I’d end up popping downstairs and grabbing a bag of potato chips or candy bar and/ or overeating at lunch. Since having a nutritious liquid breakfast in the morning as opposed to the caffeine liquid breakfast I’d definitely have to say I’ve been feeling heaps better during the morning.

This green smoothie has got to be my new favourite. Not only has it got a fantastic flavour, but also it is low in calories and high in minerals like calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, phosphorous, zinc and copper. On top of that they are also a great source of vitamins A and C which are great for skin health. Wow, all these fantatic benefits from the humble little peach. This makes them the perfect choice for a healthy breakfast item. The sweet flesh of the peach combined with the coconut milk gives a great tropical flavour to the smoothie. The banana and the yogurt bind the smoothie together making it thick and creamy. And the spinach leaves add extra nutrition and if it wasn’t for the colour it provides you would not even know it was in there.
